It Girl

Hey lovely people.
It's summer here in New Zealand! And what a gorgeous one at that. Nothing beats coming home after a day at work to find the sun is still high in the sky.
So its 2015 already!!! I'm sooo excited for what this year is going to hold.
Since I moved to the city two years ago I have hardly had time to do the things I love; fashion blogging, photography, sewing (outside of fashion school). But now as life settles I'll have plenty of time, eeeee.
Which brings me to this post.
I finally got my mitts on "It" by Alexa Chung. I already love it because it's pink.
And an interesting read so far!
I'm wearing a pastel silk georgette button down top I found in a thrift store for next to nothing. I'm absolutely in love with it. The collar, sleeves and chest pockets are embellished with sequins. I love the way the sunlight shows through it.

So today marks day one of New Zealand Fashion Week, yay!
I feel like I've been in limbo land because of the weather in NZ (it sucks)
For months I've kind of leant towards the I-just-want-to-be-comfortable..and-warm approach to dressing myself. This stops now! OKAY!
There's this gorgeous building next to my fashion school that I've been eyeing up for ages, I finally made the special trip in to photograph it. I always feel a bit awkward when there's people around and I'm .. taking photos of myself and because this was the city there were so many people haha!
Anyway, I'm in love with the building. I'm in love with black and white.
I am wearing:
Polka dot dress - Thrifted. I'm pretty sure it was someone's home project. They did so good!
The black dots on the top are velvet as is the skirt.
I don't know why they threw it out but I felt lucky to have found it for only $5!
Mesh top - Glassons
Shoes - Glassons
Mini satchel - Glassons

You drive me crazy

Hay peoples!
It's certainly been a long time since I've posted anything on here but now I am on a long, hugely anticipated break from my studies! This last 6 months has been super intense I feel like I've kind of neglected my wardrobe, it feels good to do this again!

You wouldn't think that it's winter by my choice of attire in these photos, but it is! The sun decided to grace us with it's presence this day, makes me so happy eee!
I am wearing:
Banana dress - Glassons
Sunglasses - Romwe
Shoes - Rubi
Mini bag - Glassons

Looking through older photographs I stumbled upon this set which were taken in the old town I used to visit when I lived in the country, I miss that place.
And oh my hair is so short!

The silver velvet top is by Lonely Hearts
Everything else is vintage/thrifted except for the collar which is DIY ♥

The Golden Days

Autumn has spread itself across my back yard. As I walk I step on crunchy leaves and the sun is shining but there's a definite nip in the air, it's all got me so inspired! The golden tones are what make Autumn so mesmerizing and I want to play up to it with my outfits.
Though I'd like to chuck in some pastel too.
Below is my little inspiration for the season;Valentino, Jane Birken, the 60's, leather boots, printed midi skirts, floppy hats, woolly socks, opaque tights, pastel on pastel.
